The Social and Political Division of BEM Himatika Identika UPI 2023 held another Community Service (PPM) 2023. The activity with the theme: “Gelora Mengabdi Pioneer of Change for a Better Society” was conducted offline on August 14-18, 2023 in Hamlet 3, Pangguh Village, Ibun District, Bandung Regency, West Java Province. There are several fields that are targeted in this year’s PPM activities, namely Education, Religion, Environment, Health, and Socio-Culture. The number of students involved and present, both organizers and volunteers is 79 people.
The opening of PPM 2023 was held on Monday, August 14, 2023 at SDN Neglasari 1 and 2 which was attended by several village officials, supervisors, and students representing the PPM 2023 committee. At this opening ceremony, a ribbon cutting was carried out as a symbol of inauguration by one of the representatives from the Village (Head of Hamlet, Principal of Neglasari 1 and 2, Community Leaders), Lecturer representatives (Yusuf Adithya, S.Pd., M.Pd), and Committee representatives.
On the 2nd and 3rd days of PPM (15 – 16 August 2023), there were also Himatika Teaching activities, Darul Ulum, Saung Ajar, Education Socialization with the theme: “Education in the Family Sphere in the Digital Era” delivered by lecturers of mathematics and mathematics education study programs, namely Dr. Lukman, S.Si., M.Si., helping posyandu operations, Health Counseling: Free Acupuncture (DPC Hakti Bandung Raya and Dr. H. Endang Cahya Mulyaning S., M.Si.), Sasarengan Village Cleanup, and morning gymnastics. Himatika teaching activities were carried out at SDN Neglasari 1 and 2 which focused on Mathematics subjects. To help the teaching process, students also use teaching aids as learning. In the religious field, Darul Ulum activities were held, which are religious learning activities such as reading the Qur’an, learning tajweed, learning Arabic, and reading stories of prophets or Islamic figures who can be used as role models. In addition, as an effort to increase students’ interest and literacy skills by reading books, Saung Ajar activities are held as open class activities for a place to play while learning aimed at elementary school students in the local area.
On the 4th day of PPM (August 17, 2023), we held an Independence Celebration activity, there were several competitions attended by local residents and lecturers of mathematics and mathematics education study programs, namely Al Jupri, S.Pd., M.Sc., Ph.D., Imam Nugraha Albania, M.Pd., Ph.D., and Prof. Rizky Rosjanuardi, M.Si . . On the 5th day of PPM on August 18, 2023, PPM 2023 activities were closed by the supervisor, Yusuf Adithya, S.Pd., M.Pd. and village officials, namely the Head of Hamlet 3, as well as PPM committees and volunteers.
Then on August 26, 2023, a Teacher Seminar will be held at the PGRI Graha Hall, Ibun District. This seminar raised the theme: “Development of Numeration Questions for Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM) for Elementary School Teachers”. The event was attended by lecturers from the Mathematics Education and Mathematics Study Programs and participants, namely elementary school teachers in Ibun District. The purpose of holding this Teacher Seminar is as a forum for teachers and lecturers to share knowledge and opinions about learning in schools, especially for Mathematics subjects.
