Gema Mahasiswa Matematika (GMM) is an annual event held by BEM Himatika Identika UPI. This event consists of a series of mathematics competitions, ranging from Math Games for elementary/mi/equivalent levels in Greater Bandung and Cimahi, Smart Meticulous Mathematics (CCM) for junior high school/MTs/Equivalent levels in West Java, Smart Agile Mathematics (CTM) for high school/MA/Equivalent levels as well as Java Island, Open Mathematics Instructional Media (OMIM) for junior high school/MTs/Equivalent levels of West Java and SMA/MA/Equivalent to Java Island, National Mathematics Essay Competition (LEMNAS) for high school/MA/equivalent level in Indonesia, and Mathematics Learning Media Competition (KMPM) for Students level in Java.
With the theme“It’s our time to reverberate Mathematics”,GMM 2015 officially opened on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at Achmad Sanusi Building (BPU) UPI Bumi Siliwangi Campus. In addition to getting an explanation about GMM 2015 activities, at the opening, the participants also received entertainment from STUDENTS of UPI’s Department of Mathematics Education, ranging from Saman Dance, Volume to Percussion.
After the Opening of GMM 2015, the activity continued with The First Preliminary Round for CCM and CTM. The round was also held simultaneously by regional committees in several regions throughout Java, including Serang, Purwokerto, Jakarta and Tanggerang, Bogor, Bandung Regency, Yogyakarta, Subang, Tasikmalaya, Cirebon, Sukabumi, Majalengka, and Sumedang.
