Congratulations to Sofihara Al Hazmy, a student in the Department of Mathematics Education, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia who successfully passed the selection to participate in the International Mathematics Competition (IMC) XIX. The selection was attended by 25 students who won gold, silver, bronze, and honorable mention at the 2013 National Olympic Mathematics and Natural Sciences College (ON MIPA-PT) on June 16-19, 2013. Al Hazmy, who won silver at ON MIPA-PT in 2013, was one of seven Indonesian representative students at the IMC XIX to be held on August 6 – 12, 2013 in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria.
This achievement is the first for students of the Department of Mathematics Education, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia since the first implementation of ON MIPA-PT in 2009. Congratulations on fighting Sofihara Al Hazmy to scent the name of Indonesia and the Department of Mathematics Education, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia.
