A. Basic Thinking
Student academic guidance service is the process of assistance of guardian lecturers (Academic Advisers/ PA) to students. The services in question include academic and non-academic issues, in order to improve the success of student studies. The services are oriented towards developing the potential of students into independent personal beings. Mentoring and mentoring are provided in the form of consultations, both individually and in groups. This is done on a scheduled basis or based on the needs of students to achieve success.
Reality shows many students experience problems caused by personal problems, family problems, peer group problems, and career problems. This guide is a reference for lecturers in conducting mentoring and mentoring services to students.

C. Purpose
This guide is prepared to be a reference for guardian lecturers in carrying out mentoring and mentoring of students in order to create a common understanding of position, basic duties, functions of guardian lecturers as well as mentoring and mentoring mechanisms.
D. Mechanism
1. Terms
A. UPI lecturer who received a letter of assignment from the Head of Department
B. Has followed the preparation and supply as a guardian lecturer
C. Empathy, trustworthy, thoughtful, commitment to the duties of guardian lecturers
2. Guidance Flow
2.1 Academics
A. Hold regular meetings to monitor the progress and progress of learning at least three times in a semester with a list of students attending
B. Guide, direct, consider and approve student study plans in accordance with academic guidelines. The adviser has a KRS arsif that has been signed by The Guardian Lecturer and KaProdi / KaJur
C. Guardian lecturer collects Study Results Card (KHS) of each persemester student
D. Identify students who are thought to be in trouble, then perform
(i) Special handling in accordance with the ability of the guardian lecturer
(ii) Referral to KaProdi / Head of Department / PD I for administrative matters
(iii) Referrals to other lecturers / experts / experts in the field of scientific studies for academic problems
E. Report periodically (every semester) about the development and progress of student learning to the Head of Department / KaProdi
F. At the end of the student study period, Dosen Wali reported the final results of the mentoring activities to the Head of Department / KaProdi
2.2 Non-Academic
Identify students who are thought to be problematic, then perform:
(i) Referral to UPT LBK (Guidance and Counseling Institute) for psychological psychological problems
(ii) Referral to the Head of Department / KaProdi / PD I for administrative / socioeconomic issues
3. Student Progress and Development Report
A. Develop progress report and progress of student learning every semester in the form of Hard Copy and Soft Copy
B. Compile guidance reports every semester
C. Develop a report on the development and progress of student learning at the end of the study period
